Luminaries to the rhythm of music immersed in history and art
Christmas, the joy, the desire to be together and celebrate, in the warmth of homes and people that contrasts with the cold outside. At this time of year in any city or town there is never a shortage of lights, the so-called illuminations.
Some smaller, some more extensive, some exaggerated. This is the case, for example, in Larino where, for the past few years, the“Luminaries of Larino – magic of lights” has been held.
The city’s historic center, already rich in history and art, is further embellished with light displays, decorations and light creations. The stalls, music, performances and many people complete a picture of true celebration.
The climax is in the main square, the one in front of the magnificent Cathedral of St. Pardo where, at specific times, the lights are turned off and a music-driven show is staged.
An event that brings people closer together and makes them feel all the warmth of a people even on cold winter evenings.
