The experience
Discovering Molise’s wine excellence
Molise, a land rich in history, traditions and delicious dishes to taste, does not fail to offer tourists excellent wines.
Among the many grape varieties grown there is also an indigenous one, produced exclusively in Molise. It is Tintilia, a black grape variety that produces a dark, intense red wine.
The name comes from its intensity, so strong that it can “dye.” For years it had almost disappeared until its cultivation was widely resumed to the great delight of the palate.
In a location as enchanting and evocative as Castelpetroso with its Minor Basilica of Our Lady of Sorrows, in the elegant structure “La Fonte dell’Astore,” you will be able to spend the day, accompanied by expert sommeliers, in a wine tasting activity featuring our region’s excellent wines.
