The experience
Learn the secrets of Molise’s stringy cheeses.
Surrounded by forests of beech, turkey oak and white spruce, you will learn about the pastures that characterize the Montedimezzo Nature Reserve and were already used by the Samnites, our ancestors. A true Biodiversity Oasis composed of different bioclimatic belts ranging from hills at 450m asl to mountainous areas up to 1730m asl, within which rare species of flora and fauna coexist and alternate according to different climatic conditions.
With the support of some local community members, you will learn about the origin of the milk from which Molise’s excellent dairy products are produced and discover all the secrets of stretched curd cheese. The visit will end on a high note with a tasting of typical products rooted in an ancient tradition.
