The project ”Valige campochiaresi,” stems from the need to reinforce and rebuild an imaginary bridge, reuniting Campochiaro and its campochiaresi in the distant Americas, children of emigration. Proceeding in this vein, in reverse parts, it will ideally be Campochiaro that will draft”the act of recall” inviting its oriundi to return as they do every year, to relive places and traditions that the emigrant could not take with him, in his cardboard suitcase.

The Day of August 5, dedicated to the feast of St. Mary of Grace, opens the calendar of traditional festivities, following the evocative procession in the village, the square dedicated to his Madonna will be the scene of popular games, a historical event of the Campochia community.

On the morning of August 6, the oregano processing workshop will be held at the municipal premises multipurpose building “Ex Chiesa S. Donato.” Oregano is the spice that represents Campochiaro, called the town of oregano, not only because of the amount of production in the area, but especially because of the historical figures of oregano sellers, who exported our product throughout Molise. This moment takes on a symbolic and evocative value by allowing Campochiaro residents abroad to relive moments of daily life imprinted in their memories.

The second part of the day will bring us to the former museum venue S. The August 7 feast of St. Donat sees us still gathered in the name of tradition, the procession, band accompaniment and distribution of “panelle Benedette” framing the evening that will end with a concert in the square Madonna delle Grazie.

August 8 Folklore Day, includes the presentation of the book ”Discovering the realm of biodiversity.
