Project concerning San Giuliano del Sannio and its emigrants

As part of the project, attractive cultural events with a strong and communicative identity flavor will be offered. Musical bands, folk groups, food and wine tours, conferences on the theme of origins, dictates of history of the past.

For the achievement of the objectives, the project correlation to the involvement of communities of Italo descendants living abroad and present in the territory, such as communities of Italo-Belgian, Americans, Canadians and Australians who are still devoted to tradition andattachment to their roots, was envisaged. Strong and plentiful foreign representation returns for the riflemen ‘ s re-enactment and patronal festivals.

The collection of historical photos, and deeds that can be digitized, will be the grand master of ceremonies. Also on display will be the costumes of the past that represent the true essence of traditions with the jewelry and symbols of a timeless past.

Permanent exhibitions of peasant art and street games already are in the works at premises adjoining the municipal house.

The project is divided into three phases. Each phase is characterized by specific themes that go to enhance our history, our traditions and strengthen ‘important ties with our countrymen scattered around the world eager not to lose their roots.
